Vangelis’ third album is a sensitive, deep concept album, that is a masterpiece in its own right. The opening cut is the 3 minutes rock song, but after that the album takes a turn to some progressive world sounds. “Earth” is said to be inspired by ancient (pre-Christian) Greek or Dorian music. The title is a reference to the primitive roots of the album. As the album has been recorded and mastered in Paris, this first French pressing is considered to one of the better sounding pressings.
