My Journey in music is possibly the same as anybody else and different.

In the 90’s music was just something I hated when listening radio; I gave up and listened to talk back radio for two years. It is something today I think of and I cannot imagine a day without music.

One day when visiting my friend Spiro (a fellow music lover), he said “Harry, you HAVE to listen to this music” as he handed me a record. At that time, I wasn’t sure why he was recommending music as I had explained earlier about my disinterest in current music.

He said “No no, just sit down and listen!” as he placed the record on his turntable. Looking at his very large speakers, I was expecting something loud. The music just hit me and I think our wives went running, it was LOUD….The soundtrack to Conan The Barbarian:  [Tracks 01. Anvil Of Crom – 02. Riddle Of Steel/Riders Of Doom].

My world changed. In the next day or so, I saw the Demtel ad……10 Classical CDs [no steak knives].  I became a Classical music NUT!  Buying used LPs and always looking out for new music reading BBC Music magazine for the latest releases.

One day at one major CD store I heard this music and I thought what? It’s classical but with drums and bass I looked up and in the ‘Now Playing Box’ was Jacques Loussier Trio ‎– Baroque Favorites.

This recording captured my soul. To me the music was totally new but I felt I knew it forever and I just could not get enough, I made a tape for my car, setup a mini CD player at my work station and of course played it at home. I love this music and I’m telling you, your woofers will really enjoy the exercise, lots and lots of bass.

I thought to myself, I never thought I liked Jazz before but the real clincher was hearing the Pink Panther theme one night on a jazz program….I LOVE JAZZ. Now I present Jazz on the radio spreading the good word. 3MBS 103.5FM ‘All That Jazz’. The journey continues…
